Product Name: Decap'D Brine Eggs 8oz
Category: Reef Nutrition, Live
Subcategory:
Manufacturer: AlgaGen
Decap’D Brine™ is a clean and easy way to feed your tank. The decapsulation process uses bleach and caustic to remove the outer shell or coryon of the brine resting cyst/egg. When the shell is removed, the cyst is then dehydrated in a high level of brine. This process enables the cyst to be hatched out without the mess of shell debris. In addition, the decapsulation process kills much of the bacteria and fungus associated with the brine cyst. The un-hatched cysts also serve as a food source for numerous corals (that could not be digested otherwise).

We recommend adding 1 teaspoon of cysts to the reef tank whenever feeding is desired. Cysts will hatch out in the tank and you will see fish feeding. The un-hatched cysts will feed corals and invertebrates in the sand. An alternative would be to hatch out a small amount in a hatching cone or inverted water bottle, outside of the tank.
