Abstract


Iron - Quick Reference

Iron (Fe)+3 is an important supplement for freshwater planted tanks. Low levels cause iron deficiency disease evidenced by excess yellowing of leaves. Overdosing can harm plants and livestock. An Iron Test should be performed weekly. This log will help you note any gradual drop decrease in the iron concentration. Should your test indicate less than 0.5 ppm of iron, the concentration should be raised immediately, either by using a liquid iron additive or by fertilizing the aquarium bottom with an iron-rich substrate. Follow all instructions carefully
